Our story begins with Grandpa Gijs. A dedicated furniture maker and passionate craftsman. A great example for later generations of the van der Sluis family. Inspired by the classic 60s and timeless designs of Grandpa Gijs, Design in Box was born.

Our modular concept
Our designer furniture is cleverly designed. High quality individual parts, modularly assembled and easy to assemble. This is how we keep the shipping box extra compact. Real design in a box, in other words! With this, we are also committed to the new sustainable, with the mission of making the lifespan of each piece of furniture as long as possible. By developing all furniture modularly, it is possible to easily replace parts of a piece of furniture over time. With Design in Box, it is even so simple that you can easily do this yourself at home. This eliminates the need to transport the furniture back and forth again and continues to reduce our emissions!
